As one of the company’s first employees, Lisa Gifford has had a profound impact on developing Alliance Enterprises into a high-growth technology company that was named to the Inc. 5000 in 2016. Lisa led the launch and expansion of the company’s flagship software, Aware, used by more than 12,000 rehabilitation service providers across 38 state agencies and 22 tribal nations.
Lisa currently serves as the director of corporate strategy and is chairperson of the board of directors. Starting at Alliance in 1982 as an assistant computer trainer, Lisa progressed into a software tester, systems analyst, then project manager, and software development manager. She was the company’s president and CEO between 1995 and 2008 during which the company grew revenue more than 2,000%.
Committed to excellent customer service, Lisa has developed strong customer relationships through the years. She is keen on setting clear expectations, delivering to the committed scope, and quickly responding to risks and issues. She is a strong advocate for project management and for women in computing.
In 2016, Lisa was named to the Business Examiner’s Women of Influence list. Lisa’s education includes undergraduate studies in language arts at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Université de Grenoble, France.
