Joelle Brouner has held leadership roles at vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies for more than 10 years. She’s currently the Director of Community Access for Colorado’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, providing legislative and policy analysis, as well as leading outreach and communication efforts to external stakeholders. She also directed Colorado’s combined VR program.
Previously, she served as the Executive Director of the Washington State Rehabilitation Council within the Washington State General VR program. Joelle has benefited from receiving VR services herself.
She holds a Master’s of Public Administration with a concentration in public policy from the Evergreen State College, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Seattle University. She’s been extensively engaged in disability rights advocacy, focusing her efforts on promoting well-being and economic advancement.
