Hosted by Alliance Enterprises, getAwareLive! brings together leaders and professionals in the vocational rehabilitation (VR), disability advocacy, workforce and technology industries to share and learn from each other.
It’s the industry’s go-to event of the year, featuring influential keynote speeches, relevant training sessions on important topics like WIOA and technology, and a great chance to network and share knowledge with peers. The event is July 26-27 in Dallas.
“We’re gearing up for a great event we strongly believe will inform and inspire the VR and Workforce communities,” said Alliance Enterprises CEO Chris M. Pieper. “Our company has developed software for more than 20 years that over 12,000 VR counselors currently use across the country, and we relish the opportunity to gather and discuss the work we feel so passionate about.”
Sally Hogshead, CEO of marketing firm, Fascinate is a keynote speaker. She’s a New York Times best-selling author and a highly regarded public speaker who has created an innovative personality test that measures how people perceive communication. The tool is widely used by employers to improve workforce engagement.
Also providing a keynote presentation is Janet Lebreck, who was the Commissioner of the Rehabilitation Services Administration from 2013 to 2016 where she oversaw programs that helped people with disabilities find employment and live more independently. She’ll tell the story of how she lost her vision by the age of 10, but never let the disability get in the way of her dreams.
In addition, the event will be chock-full of relevant training sessions that will increase your understanding of essential topics like WIOA and evolving technology solutions in the industry. See the schedule page for times and descriptions of training.
We’re expecting around 200 attendees from around the country, including executives and leaders at VR and Workforce agencies, technology experts, trainers, and financial and reporting specialists.
“With this lineup of VR and Workforce leaders and experts, not only will you get a realistic state of the industry perspective, you’ll also get a view into where the industry is going in the next several years,” Pieper said. “We hope to see you there!”
